Yancy’s Little Praise Party
Yancy (not Nancy) is a singer/songwriter with a unique and fun style of music for tweens and preschoolers.
Timbuktoons developed the concept and art direction for a preschool version of her named “Little Yancy” for her CD/DVD series called Little Praise Party.
Then we brought Little Yancy and her friends to life and animated them with onscreen lyrics for kids to sing and dance along with.
We produced animated live lyric videos for 4 CD/DVDs including a Spanish version featuring her most popular songs.

Challenge
- Develop the concept as an IP versus just live lyric videos
- Produce several videos in a short amount of time
- Create a cast of many characters with various ethnicities

- Developed an art direction for the Little Yancy world
- Streamlined the pipeline and minimized the different tools used
- Created an asset library of effects, props and characters that could be quickly changed
Yancy is a singer and songwriter who creates music for the whole family from preschool to preteen. Her rock anthems and reflective lyrics encourage kids to find their talents and purpose and “go after their dreams with all they’ve got.”
