LifeKids Animated Curriculum

LifeKids is the children’s ministry at Life.Church and they also make their resources available for free to other churches through their Life.Church Open Network. They are also connected with the YouVersion Bible App and the Bible App for Kids. LifeKids is dedicated to partnering with parents to lead children to become fully devoted followers of Christ and they produce resources for children ages birth-6th grade.

Timbuktoons had the privilege of producing animated content for apps, music videos, preschool curriculum, and cartoon Bible stories. This included 32 animated Bible story shorts, 16 Bible Theater motion graphics shorts, 17 animated music videos, an animated show intro for their Bible Adventure curriculum, animated assets for the YouVersion Bible App for Kids, and an extensive asset library of characters, props, backgrounds, and effects.

Timbuktoons produced 100+ shorts and an extensive asset library for LifeKids animated curriculum.

Challenge

  • Produce animated shorts that matched the style of the YouVersion Bible App
  • Coordinate the remote review process with the creative team at LifeKids
  • Build a production schedule and pipeline that met specific deadlines for each piece of content
  • Produce several different types of content simultaneously

  • Developed a system to translate the app assets to animation rigs
  • Mapped out a clear review process using online collaboration tools
  • Established a dedicated project manager and management system to track all milestones

My team has had the honor of regularly working with Timbuktoons for the past eight years.
