One in four girls and one in six boys are sexually abused by their 18th birthday.
The Play it Safe!™ program is a child sexual and physical abuse curriculum presented annually to over 70,000 children ages 4-18.
The Women’s Center of Tarrant County wanted age-appropriate videos to teach children about sexual abuse in a language they could easily understand.
The program includes age-appropriate videos for preschool through high school. It also consists of training for adults, caregivers and professionals.
Timbuktoons worked on the visual development and animation production for the Pre-K and Kindergarten videos: Tick-Tock and the 1st Grade video: Mae Shares a Secret. Visit Play It Safe! for movie descriptions, trailers, scripts and more.
The mission statement of The Women’s Center of Tarrant County is “inspiring, teaching and empowering women and families to overcome violence, crisis and poverty.” They achieve this through extensive victim service programs, counseling and employment programs.
